Practitioner profile
Nyx is a Senior Acupuncturist with a healthcare background spanning more than a decade. She has worked in healthcare since 2012, with experience across Western nursing, Chinese medicine and both Chinese and Western hospital settings. After moving to New Zealand in 2019, she continued to develop her acupuncture practice and is now a Senior Acupuncturist and ACC Provider.
Her clinical interests include neck and shoulder pain, lower back and leg pain, injury recovery, digestive wellbeing, women’s health, fertility and pre-conception support, and whole-person wellbeing. Her style is gentle, comfort-focused, practical and personalised, drawing on acupuncture, acupressure, hands-on therapy, massage, cupping, gua sha, IASTM and other appropriate approaches. She pays particular attention to people who feel nervous about needles and adjusts treatment according to individual comfort and response.
Experience across Western healthcare and Chinese medicine has shaped a grounded approach: knowing when treatment may be appropriate, and when further assessment or referral is the better next step.
Why ALLBODY HEALTH
More than acupuncture. More than pain relief.
Nyx founded ALLBODY HEALTH to place the Chinese medicine care she knows within a setting that meets modern New Zealand healthcare expectations: professional, clear and comfortable, while preserving individual choice.
Care considers the whole person, including recovery, everyday life and wider wellbeing. Acupuncture, hands-on care and other appropriate approaches are selected around your individual needs.
Nyx has also experienced a significant lower-back injury with pronounced back and leg symptoms. This gives her a personal understanding of how pain and recovery can affect movement, sleep, work and everyday life. Supporting family members through significant health challenges has further shaped her focus on listening, realistic communication and appropriate referral.
Nyx is also trained in Chinese tea arts and tea evaluation, with a longstanding interest in Chinese tea and tea culture.
