Keep your fertility team at the centre

Acupuncture should not replace fertility assessment, investigations or time-sensitive treatment. The appropriate pathway depends on your circumstances and may involve medicines, procedures or assisted reproduction.

Tell your fertility team about additional care you are considering, and tell Nyx about medicines, procedure timing, pregnancy possibility and any specific advice you have been given.

What should we discuss before treatment?

Check with your fertility team about additional care, then tell Nyx about your medicines, treatment stage and the support you are seeking. Acupuncture is supportive care, without a promise of higher pregnancy, implantation or live-birth rates.

Benefits and risks during fertility treatment remain uncertain, including an early-miscarriage signal reported in some research. This does not establish causation and should be considered with your fertility team.

What if my goal is support and wellbeing?

Some people value time to talk, a calm appointment or support while coping with symptoms and treatment. These are reasonable goals to discuss, but any benefit is individual and should be reviewed.

Feeling stressed during fertility treatment is understandable; do not blame yourself for failing to “relax enough”. Tell your healthcare team about emotional and practical difficulties so you can discuss suitable support.

Is another appointment worthwhile for me?

Consider the fee, travel, time and how another appointment fits your existing plan. Private acupuncture at ALLBODY HEALTH is normally $90 for 45–60 minutes; existing concessions and plans are shown on Pricing.

You can decide that the additional cost or effort is not right for you. There is no need to buy a promised number of visits to secure a fertility outcome. Nyx can discuss a realistic supportive goal without making a success-rate promise.

Contact your medical team promptly

Severe pelvic or abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, fever, rapidly increasing abdominal swelling or breathing difficulty—especially after a fertility procedure—needs prompt medical care. Call 111 for emergency symptoms. Acupuncture is not a treatment for a possible fertility-treatment complication.
