Feeling nervous about needles does not mean you need to rule out acupuncture. Nyx’s gentle acupuncture approach can be adapted to your comfort and response. If you still prefer no needles, this distinct treatment offers another option to discuss without pressure to choose needling.
We begin with your symptoms, health history and suitability for electrical stimulation. With your agreement, pads are placed on selected areas and stimulation is adjusted to your feedback. You remain able to ask questions, change the intensity or stop. We review how you feel and discuss the next step.
Pain, tension, injury recovery or other everyday concerns can be a starting point for assessment. Whether this option fits your situation is discussed individually; it should not be assumed to have the same evidence or effects as acupuncture with needles.
Please tell us about any implanted electronic device, pregnancy or possible pregnancy, epilepsy, altered skin sensation or irritated skin. These details affect suitability and where stimulation may be used. Do not assume an electrical treatment is appropriate simply because it has no needles; medical advice or another option may be needed.
